Support, education, and advocacy for LGBTQ+ people and those who love them.

Since 1982, PFLAG New Orleans has helped families, friends, and LGBTQ+ community members find connection, reliable information, and a welcoming place to belong.

Peer support is free, volunteer-led, and built around privacy, confidentiality, and safety.

What We Do

Our mission is to promote the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people—and their families and friends—through supporteducation, and advocacy. We create opportunities for honest dialogue and work toward a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity.

Support

Whether you’re a parent, relative, friend, ally, or LGBTQ+ person looking for community, our monthly meetings are here for you. You’ll find a welcoming space to ask questions, share experiences, and feel less alone.

Education

We share trusted resources and provide presentations that help schools, workplaces, and community groups better understand sexual orientation and gender identity—so people can show up with care and confidence.
