PFLAG New Orleans was saddened to learn that Elizabeth (Lizzie) Jenkins passed away Friday, August 26, 2024. In addition to being a former PFLAG New Orleans board member, trans activist and mentor, Lizzie was also a friend to many. May her memory be a blessing.
Join us next Wednesday, August 28 from 5-7 at the Pride Center -2762 Orleans Avenue - for our Creative Futures Art Night, a program for LGBTQ2IA+ youth to celebrate their creativity through arts & crafts and community!
For ages 12-24, Creative Futures invites our young folks to tap into their inner creative spirit and use the arts to express and process their experiences. We will have some projects available for participants to pick up, or people can bring whatever they are working on!

Celebrity Testimonial

One of those recipients, Sidney Alvarez, has pointed to his 1994 Scholarship as a critical part of his skyrocketing, Emmy-winning journalism career. Here is his story, as told by Mr. Alvarez.
